AGRICULTURE, ORGANIC SYSTEMS, and FOOD TECHNOLOGY
This area of our services is dedicated to tackling issues that impede the wellness of people and environment where they live, and our aim is to bring solutions that alleviates these impediments thereby exposing the inhabitants to better way of living and livelihood.
The agriculture group within SCGI CANADA GROUP focus on assisting developing countries in adopting mechanized farming and livestock breeding based on two critical elements:
1) Ethical Farming Techniques and animal wellness
2) Organic Farming and use of Organic Fertilizer products/processes
We focus on providing technologies, procedures and financing for medium to large scale farming entities, and in some cases develop and manage these mechanized agricultural facilities. The core areas of our focus are:
- Mixed farms
- Livestock ranching
- Intensive livestock production (poultry, pigs, dairy)
- Large scale farms and plantations
- Specialized horticulture farming
Our main emphasis are on use of proper resources, appropriate and relevant tools & technologies, use of proper equipment, adequate research & development, proper cultivation and harvesting techniques, preservation, processing and storage techniques/facilities, staff training and management effectiveness.
For mixed farms operations, we focus on driving the production of organically grown fruits and vegetables such as the following:
For Large scale farms, plantations and Specialized horticulture farming, we focus on creating a sustainable environment for producing all agricultural products, including herbs and spices, as well as organic fertilizers, and by-products.
FOOD TECHNOLOGY
Processing, storage and distribution of harvested products is a major challenge for farmers in developing countries, as a result, more that 40% of harvested products are wasted and thrown away due to lack of processing and storage facilities. SCGI CANADA GROUP is working with select local and state governments to develop facilities for processing and storage of foods and products.
